The Blue Hawks, an AAU girls basketball club, is now in its third year of operations. It is based in the Bay Area of California and composed of highly-athletic and motivated middle-school girls (especially grades 6-8).
While all serious competitors are welcome, our club focuses on girls who play multiple sports and want a rigorous introduction to the fundamental skills and tactics of basketball, taught by one of the sport's most eminent women’s players.
Blue Hawks head coach and technical director Eliza Sokolowska had a distinguished career as one of the world’s finest professional and collegiate players. At the pro level, she played for the WNBA’s Sacramento Monarchs and for sixteen years on the Polish national team and elsewhere in Europe. In college, she was a two-time All Pac-10 standout and MVP at the University of California, Berkeley. Eliza was the first Cal women’s player to record a triple double and holds the single season school record for steals. She also excelled as a two-time junior college All-American at Independence College in Kansas.
